A data-backed analysis by BNP has uncovered a systemic mapping failure in the electoral rolls for the upcoming Corporation Elections. Thousands of citizens are being forced to vote for a Corporator in a ward where they don’t even live.

• 5 ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಧಾರಗಳು 1000+ ತಪ್ಪಾಗಿ ಮತದಾರರನ್ನು ನಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮೂದಿಸಿರುವುದನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

• ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ನ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಮತದಾರರಿಂದ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
• ಇದು ಚುನಾವಣೆಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಸಮ್ಮತತೆ, ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಾರ್ಹತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಗ್ರತೆಯನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Our Demands:

• Implement Sectioning across wards, as per the ECI Manual
• Do not place the burden of correction on individual citizens.
• Hold Corporation Elections only after rolls are corrected
• Will this delay the municipal election?
• Not at all, the process can be easily done if the complete voter address is available to the relevant officials.
• If the address is available, this process will not take more than 30-45 days to complete using simple tech tools like excel.

ನಮ್ಮ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳು:

• ಭಾರತೀಯ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗದ (ECI) ಕೈಪಿಡಿಯಂತೆ ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾದ ವಿಭಾಗೀಕರಣವನ್ನು (sectioning) ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ.
• ದೋಷ ಸರಿಪಡಿಸುವ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಬಾರದು.
• ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿದ ನಂತರವೇ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಬೇಕು.
• ಇದು ಪುರಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಳಂಬಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆಯೇ?
• ಖಂಡಿತ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಮತದಾರರ ವಿಳಾಸವು ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಿದ್ದರೆ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.
• ವಿಳಾಸ ಲಭ್ಯವಿದ್ದರೆ, ಎಕ್ಸೆಲ್ ನಂತಹ ಸರಳ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಪರಿಕರಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳ್ಳಲು 30-45 ದಿನಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಮಯ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
