We are sick and tired of this misgovernance which is threatening to destroy the fabric of our nation, our state and our cities. We do not want any more deaths. We do not want our cities to be destroyed due to this rampant corruption being indulged in, by elected representatives and people in power.

ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ, ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ನಗರಗಳ ರಚನೆಯನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ದುರಾಡಳಿತದಿಂದ ನಾವು ಬೇಸತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಾವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ನಾವು ಸಿದ್ಧರಿಲ್ಲ. ಚುನಾಯಿತ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನರು ಈ ಅತಿರೇಕದ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ನಗರದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಬಯಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

I, as a citizen of Bengaluru, Karnataka and India, demand that immediate action be taken and the following be done without any delay whatsoever

ನಾನು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತದ ನಾಗರಿಕನಾಗಿ, ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾವುದೇ ವಿಳಂಬವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

1. Appropriate compensation be awarded to the family of Santhosh Patil
2. Immediate action to be taken on RDPR Minister K S Eshwarappa & his associates
3. Payments due to all contractors be cleared in a time bound manner in the next few months

1. ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಾಟೀಲ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕು.
2. ಆರ್‌ಡಿಪಿಆರ್ ಸಚಿವ ಕೆ ಎಸ್ ಈಶ್ವರಪ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಸಹಚರರ ಮೇಲೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
3. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಗೆ ಪಾವತಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಪಾವತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿನ ಕೆಲವು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲಮಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾವತಿಸಬೇಕು.

I also demand that Transparency be brought in to all public projects and details to be put out in public domain, along the following lines -

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆಯನ್ನು ತರಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಡೊಮೇನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಬೇಕು -

1. Details of tenders should be put out in the public domain, once the contract is awarded and before the work starts.The tendering process needs to be fair, unbiased and provide equal opportunities for local and registered contractors and not to contractors who have colluded with ministers and officials.
2. Details of the project including the total cost of the project, break-up of the cost, expected start date and completion date of the project be put on a public website online and real time.
3. A deadline for payment to contractors post completion of the project, should be set by the Government and cleared within that time, as a process, without any individual discretion.

1. ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಪಡೆದ ನಂತರ ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಲಸ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗುವ ಮೊದಲು ಟೆಂಡರ್‌ಗಳ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಡೊಮೇನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತ, ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತರಹಿತವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ನೋಂದಾಯಿತ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕು. ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗೊಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಾಮೀಲಾಗಿ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಬಾರದು.
2. ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಒಟ್ಟು ವೆಚ್ಚ, ವೆಚ್ಚದ ವಿಘಟನೆ, ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭ ದಿನಾಂಕ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ದಿನಾಂಕ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್ ಮತ್ತು ನೈಜ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ವೆಬ್‌ಸೈಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಬೇಕು.
3. ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ನಂತರ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಗೆ ಪಾವತಿಸಲು ಗಡುವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು.

The irregularities in the system begin at the time of tender itself. The most conventional corruption mechanism is to predetermine the winner of a tender bid. Such practices in many cases result in quality issues in public infrastructure projects.

ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಬಿಡ್‌ನ ವಿಜೇತರನ್ನು ಮೊದಲೇ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯವಿಧಾನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಗಳು ಅನೇಕ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತವೆ.

I demand immediate action on the above issue and also for a plan of action to be put out to us, so that such incidents and corruption at a larger scale can be prevented.

ಮೇಲಿನ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಹಾಗು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂತಹ ಅವ್ಯ್ವವಹಾರಗಳು ಆಗುವುದನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
